Obituary
Lawrence Kinion, 74, of Batesville passed away on Friday, December 16, 2005 in Little Rock.

He was born on Wednesday, January 28, 1931 in Spring Mill, Arkansas and was the son of Harry Kinion and Dorothy (Moore) Kinion. Lawrence was a member of and attended the Cushman Assembly of God. He was a retired truck driver and drove for Ronnie Dowdy and Julian Martin for a total of 40 years. He was a mentor to all the new truck drivers. Lawrence was a hardworking man and he loved to garden. He had a large three to four acre garden and always planted three to four hundred tomato plants each year. This year, he planted 460 plants. When he collected the tomatoes, he pulled a red wagon go put them in. Local restaurants would come to buy tomatoes from his garden. Lawrence was a real cowboy and always wore his cowboy hat and he loved to dance. He would always say, "If you can't say something good, say nothing at all."

He is survived by his son, Danny Kinion of Newport; two daughters: Sherry Liles and Dawn Ramsey, both of Batesville; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Lawrence is also survived by three brothers: Vernon Kinion, Benny Kinion, and Tommy Kinion, all of Batesville and one sister, Bonnie Nelson of Greenbrier. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Cushman Assembly of God with Reverend Carl Blankenship officiating.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Interment will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
