Donald Wayne Taff, 72, of Alma, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday; January 5, 2013.
He was born July 1, 1940 in Mulberry, Arkansas, the son of Jesse Howard Taff and Ona Rae McChristian Taff.
He married Shirley Ruth Hattabaugh on June 13, 1960 in Mulberry. After graduation from high school in 1958, he enlisted in the United States Navy. After his service he was employed by Whirlpool Corporation and retired after more than forty years. During his employment he earned an associate's degree in mechanical engineering from Westark Community College. He enjoyed his time fishing, reading and listening to blue grass music.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Taff of the home; one son, Tim Taff of Noblesville, Indiana; three daughters, Tammy Alexander of Mulberry, Teena Smith of Alma and Tanya Rogers of Alma; a sister, Cheryl Howerton of Searcy; a brother, Mike Taff of Ozark; five grandsons, Kaleb, Christopher, Michael, Nathaniel and Logan; two granddaughters, Bailey and Katie.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bertha and Riley McChristian; paternal grandparents, Hooper and Arkie Taff; parents, Jesse Howard Taff and Ona Rae McChristian Taff; step mothers, Velta Taff and Vera(Toots) Taff.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 5th, 2013, 10:00am at Ocker Chapel of Alma with burial at New Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kaleb, Nathaniel and Michael Taff, Christopher and Logan Alexander, Jeffry K. Smith and Scott Rogers.
