Larry Olen Griffin, 70, of Hartman, Arkansas was born August 24, 1946 in Clarksville, Arkansas and died April 30, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Army National Guard and First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville. He was also the Johnson County Road Superintendent for 18 years, City of Clarksville Street and Parks employee for 16 years, and Griffin Trucking owner/operator.He is preceded in death by his parents, Olen Griffin and Mamie Griffin; and sister, Jolene Thompson.Survivors include his wife, Rita Griffin of Hartman; daughter, Sheri Holzman and husband Charlie of Clarksville; brother, H D Griffin and wife Sarah of Coal Hill; Brothers-in-law, J D Nelson of Springdale, and Ken Nelson and wife Pansy of Clarksville; grandchildren, Blaine Holzman and Jace Holzman; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Josh Nelson, Mark Nelson, Mike Nelson, Danny Shook, Monroe Johnson, Ronald Patterson, Charles Evans, and Donald Ray Sams. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Dougan, Al (June Bug) Davis, Stephan Peay, C.O. Blackard, Earl Sanderson, Phil Mayer, Matt Cremer, Jerry Yarbrough, Lonnie Wilson, Bill Stewart, Dale Caldwell, and Dee’s Drive-In breakfast crew.
