CALVIN VICTOR CALAWAY, was born on November 18, 1933 in El Campo, Texas to Frank and Dovie Calaway, which precede him in death. He passed away on Monday, December 21, 2009. He moved to Houston at an early age where he began his career with GM Chevrolet. Calvin was with Richardson Chevrolet Parts Department for over 40 years where he became Parts Manager. He continued at that position with Worthington and Apple Chevrolet. Calvin also worked for North Freeway Auto Supply as an AC Delco Representative. He is survived by the love of his life, wife Flora Byars Lowes- Calaway (known to some as Flora or Ann Calaway); brother, Arthur Eugene Calaway and wife Dorothy of Brehnam, Texas; sister, Gladys Roberts of Rockdale, Texas; nieces, Beverly Copeland, Inez Tipp, and Bobby Jones; brother-in-law by choice, Benjamin Byars and wife Theresa of Bearden, Arkansas; nieces by choice, Melanie Mullinix and Melissa Byars; his daughter, Sherrie Baumbach; his granddaughter, Jacquelynn Aguilar; his 4 great-grandchildren, Marc, Alexis, Madison, Callie. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Forest Park East Funeral Home from 12 p.m. 2 p.m. with a chapel service to begin at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery in Bearden, Arkansas. Serving as honorary pallbearers, Greater Houston's General Motors Parts Departments Managers and the former Richardson Chevrolet Parts Department Employees.
