David Charles Nelling was born October 21, 1951 in St Louis, MO to Dorothy (Schmidt) & Donald Nelling. Dave passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS. Our sincere thanks to the doctors and staff there who watched over David's last days with us and brought him comfort. Our courageous loved one faced years of pain with dignity and courage, and now we must take his lead and emulate that courage in his absence.

Dave's passion in life was his love for his wife, his children and his grandchildren. He dearly loved the Arkansas Razorbacks and the piney wood hills of his adopted home. He was an amazing husband, father & Pop Pops to his adoring wife, children and grandchildren.. Most of his career was spent applying his generous and gregarious nature to medical and advertising sales.

David is preceded in death by his parents, survived by his wife, Sandi (Galt) Nelling, children Trey Stanley, Tiffany Childers & her husband Taryn, Zac Nelling & his wife Anna, and seven grandchildren; his brother & sister-in-law, Gary & Helen Nelling,as well as his aunt & uncle, Dottie and Charles Schmidt. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Ginger & Daniel Rousseau; Robert & Debbie Galt, and seven nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday September 11th from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at North Little Rock Funeral Home, with a Rosary following at 6:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am Friday, September 12th at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Marche Community, North Little Rock, AR with burial immediately following.
