Clayton Joseph Hill

Clayton Joseph Hill, 33, of Imboden, took his life Oct. 20, 2017, at his residence after a long struggle with PTSD.

Born Feb. 15, 1984, in Jonesboro, he was the son of Larry Buck Hill and Patty Jean Harris. He was a veteran of the United State Army, serving one tour in Iraq as an infantryman. He was the owner and operator of Clayton J. Hill Transport.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Survivors include wife, Kandace Perrin Hill, whom he married Sept. 13, 2008, and one daughter, Kadence, of the home; parents, Buck and Patty Hill of Powhatan; a brother, Josh Hill and wife Reva of Lynn; a nephew, Sawyer Hill of Lynn; his mother-in-law, Angela Perrin of Imboden; a sister in-law, Samantha Perrin of Imboden; his grandfather, Vance Waddell of Imboden; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Bryan Chapel with Bro. Dennis Newcomb officiating.

Pallbearers will be Tim Russell, Chris Gray, Brad Gholson, Frank Forrester, Rib Britton and Tom Britton. Honorary pallbearers are Greg and Terrell Jennings, Bryan Taylor, Jaried Cooper and Ricky Rausch.

Interment will follow in the Hope Cemetery in Imboden. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
