James Randell "Randy" Jones, formerly of Marianna, passed away Friday, November 7, 2008 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 57 years.
Randy was born March 15, 1951 in Memphis, Tennessee to James Powell and Ann Dickens Jones.
Randy was a farmer, and he enjoyed hunting and golfing when he had the opportunity
He is survived by his wife of five years, Nola Straubie of Fort Smith.
Other loved ones surviving him are son Barry Jones and wife Denise of Marianna; step-sons Paul Fair and wife Audrey, and Jason Fair, of Fort Smith; step-daughter Pam Lister and husband Randy of Fort Smith; one grandson, Corey James Jones, due early February; four step-grandchildren; sister Shelia Carter and husband Rusty of Marianna; and brother Russ Jones of Jonesboro, AR; nephew Davy Carter of Cabot, AR; and niece Janna Carter Gore of Forrest City, AR.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ann Jones, and one son, Corey Jones.
Services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. graveside at Marianna Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 47 West Main, Marianna, AR or Rye Hill Baptist Church, 11512 Old Hwy 71 South, Fort Smith, AR.
