He was born on Dec. 13, 1936, in Fort Smith to Bonner and Vina Binkley Weir and grew up in Fort Smith.

He was a 1955 graduate of Fort Smith High School and attended West-Ark Community College. Mr. Weir served his country in the U.S. Air Force National Guard and later as a member of the Selective Service Commission. He worked as vice president and general manager of Burt Steele Co. for 47 years when he "retired" to play full time at farming and cattle ranching.

He married Cora Ann Haynes on May 8, 1959. They were known for still going out on dates and holding hands whenever they walked together. Their children's friends knew them as parents who were "still married AND liked each other." Together, they raised three daughters.

He is also survived by his beautiful granddaughter, Anna Roland, who adored her PaPa and loved to go to the farm with him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bonner and Vina Binkley Weir, and brother, Jim Weir.

Bonner also leaves behind a host of loved ones and friends who were so very special to him and made his life much richer because of their presence.
