James (J. C.) Gray, age 91, of Sheridan, Arkansas died, Thursday, February 17, 2011 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock. He was born on December 28, 1919, a son of the late Oscar Franklin Gray and Edna Chloe Burns Gray. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Grady Gray and Lucien Gray.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Rowland Gray; children, Brenda Stuckey, Glenda Ann Gray, Robbie Andronikos, Paula Pokluda, and Paul Gray; sister, Inis Mae Proctor; four grandsons, two step-grandsons, one granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Sheridan with Pastor Jason Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Moss Hill Cemetery near Bearden. Visitation is 4:00 till 6:00 p.m. Monday February 21, 2011. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan.
