Kenneth Eugene "Gene" Lemire, 59, of Holland died Friday (Aug. 10, 2001). Born July 14, 1942, in Little Rock to Omer R. Lemire and the late Orentha C. Ingram Lemire, he was a carpenter and a member of an Oakland, Calif., Carpenter's Union. Other survivors are a daughter, Lynn Whalen of Loveland, Colo.; a brother, George Lemire of Lincoln, Calif., and three grandchildren. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Holland Baptist Church with Ken Gipson officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Holland. Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Oakland Cemetery Fund.
