Richard Bernard Duran, 68, of Little Rock, passed away Monday, February 27, 2006. Born January 16, 1938 in Conway, a son of the late Ruth (Allen) Duran and Virgil B. Duran, he was a retired Little Rock Police Officer and an Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rosemary (Simmons) Duran; a daughter, Mary (Duran) Eggart of Conway; a granddaughter, Emma Eggart; four brothers, David Duran and Jerry Duran, both of Little Rock, Dennis Duran of Rison, AR, and Mike Duran of Vilonia; and four sisters, Cathryn Duffy of Madison, GA, Diana Morre of Fairmont, WV, Ginger Phipps of Newberry, SC, and Teresa Emery of Mt. Pleasant, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Warren Duran. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Holland. Visitation is Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
