Delbert Skinner, 83, of Quitman, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012.
He was born Jan. 5, 1928, in Quitman, to the late James Roy Skinner and Myrtle Virginia Hardy Skinner.
He was a retired carpenter, plumber, and a man of many talents and a member of Sulphur Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Menta Faye Skinner.
He is survived by four daughters, Jeanette Colclasure and husband Gerald of Carlisle, Judy Reynolds and husband Tim of Marshall, Marilyn Brock and husband Erwin of Quitman and Brenda Burroughs and husband Keith of Quitman; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at Sulphur Springs Missionary Baptist Church at Enders, Ark., with burial in Old Texas Cemetery, with his grandsons and Bro. Todd Wilson officiating.
