Travis Lynn Sims, 76, of Quitman, Arkansas passed from this life on Saturday, August 9, 2014. He was born on March 16, 1938 to the late Owen “Runt” and Maxine Bivens Sims in Quitman. Travis enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years; Linda Goodrich Sims, three children; Herman and Serena Eary of Martinville, Denise and Donnie Kennedy of Quitman, and Lynn and Tajuania Sims of Mayflower, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one sister; Gail and Robert Vaughan of Jacksonville, two brother in laws; James and John Goodrich of Greenbrier, and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
Travis is also preceded in death by his sister; JoAnn New, and two brothers; Hoyt and Mitchell Sims.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier with burial to follow at Old Texas cemetery in Guy. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm at the funeral home on Monday evening.
