SPRINGDALE — Charles Fredrick Colville, 88, of Springdale passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Aug. 24, 1926, in Lowell to James Vance and Effie Mae Hatch Colville.

Charles was retired from Northwest Truck after 23 years. He retired from Springdale Public School System of 11 years. He was a Freewill Baptist minister and a member of the Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church where he also an in the choir.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Colville and Harold Colville; two sisters, Ruth Colville and Evelyn Baker; and one grandson, Justin Harmon.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Una Lea Colville of the home; two sons, Chris Dwayne Colville and fiance, Carol Ponce, of Springdale, and Michael Colville and wife, Bonnie, of Huntsville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with Pastor Ben Gibson and Pastor Clark Snow officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.

No visitation is planned.
