James R. Halter, 65, of Hot Springs passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2011. He was born on Tuesday, September 25, 1945 in Conway, Arkansas to the late Victor and Ruby (Jumper) Halter.
Mr. Halter was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and Arkansas State Teachers College. He was a sales representative for Phillip Morris for thirty years.
He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-nine years, Nancy (LaRocca) Halter; sons, Steven Halter and Billy Halter; stepson, Matt Kitchens; daughter, Tina Nichols; six granddaughters; two grandsons; sister, JoAnn Cummins; and brother, Victor Halter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, July 22, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father James Melnick officiating.
The family will gather on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the home of Victor Halter, 30 Parker Lane, Conway from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway.
