Miss Myrtle DeBerry, 99, of Conway died Wednesday (April 19, 2000).
Born May 2, 1900, in Greenbrier, a daughter of the late William L. and Sarah F. Hinsley DeBerry, she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She taught in the Greenbrier School District for several years and worked as a salesperson at the former J.T. Lasley Mercantile Store and Van Atkins department store. She was a foster grandparent at Conway Human Development Center and Faulkner County Day School for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Coy DeBerry, Earl DeBerry and Royce DeBerry.
Survivors are two sisters, Ruby Cardin and Mary Watts, both of Conway.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home with the Rev. C.O. Strong and the Rev. Jack Bloxom officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bill Watts, Brent Watts, Brian Watts, Jake Sims, J.E. Rotton and Ronald DeBerry.
Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
