Services: 5:30 p.m. July 25 at Ozark Christian Church on McCracken Road in Ozark. Visitation: 4 -5:30 p.m. July 25 at the church.

Rev. Howard Lee Hensley, 69, of Rogersville died on July 23 at Rogersville. Howard was born Feb. 16, 1944 in Couch to Benjamin F. and Notra “McGhee” Hensley. He was a graduate of Couch High School, had a bachelor of science degree from Florida Christian College, a master of arts and DM degree from Bethel Theological Seminary and taught PAS at Memphis Theological Seminary and was currently pastor at the Ozark Christian Church in Ozark.

His passion was serving others in Christ.

Howard was married to Jean Ann “Shepard” on Aug. 16, 1985 and she survives of the home, also surviving is his mother Notra Hensley of Shepard’s View in Alton, his son Bradley D. Hensley and wife Genetta of West Plains, three daughters Denis Woods and husband Vince of Thomasville; Beverly Baker and husband George of Eureka; Kristi Willoughby and husband James of Walnut Grove; two brothers Donald and Fairy Hensley of West Plains and Russell and Kathryn of Couch; one sister Bonnie Williams and Charles of Rover; 10 grandchildren Colton Hensley, Amber Barton (Jon), Brittany Holmes (Josh), Asten Woods, Matthew Baker, Lauren Baker, Joshua Baker, Danielle Shourd (Chris), Holly Willoughby and Paige Willoughby; two great-grandchildren Rex and Annalee Shourd; Sisters-in-law Teralyn Hensley and Kay Hensley both of Alton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Benjamin, two step-sons Randy and Stephen Rorex and two brothers Gary and Denzil Hensley

Memorials may be made to the Ozark Christian Church.
