Edward Earle Smith, 82, died peacefully with his wife at his side on March 13, 2012.

Mr. Smith was a 32nd Degree Mason, Shriner, a Veteran of the Navy and Air Force where he was an OSI agent, a former Corning Arkansas Chief of Police, a singer, and a man of great wit and intelligence. He will be remembered most though as a loving husband of Lou, father to Eddie (d.), Celeste, Bill, and Diane; a grandfather to Matthew (d.), Aaron, Katherine, Brian, Rachel, Michael, Yasmin, Logan, and Melissa; a doting great-grandfather to Keegan, Jordan, and Jace.

There will be a celebration of Mr. Smith's life on Saturday, March 17th from 2-5:00p.m. at the Smith's home at #1 Cottontail Drive, Conway for friends and family. A memorial service will be held later in the year, at a time to be announced.
