September 18, 1921 - February 24, 1968
William Cobb Tucker, Sr., 46, of 512 Dretzel Court, died suddenly Saturday while at work. Born Sept. 18, 1921 in Marion, La., he was the son of Edith Cobb and the late Marvin A. Tucker. He was an operator at Monsanto Chemical Co., a veteran of World War II who served with the U. S. Air Force, obtaining the rank of sergeant, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a member of Masonic Lodge F and AM. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lulu Lee Tucker of El Dorado; two daughters, Miss Edith V. Tucker and Miss Judy Beth Tucker, both of El Dorado; and his mother. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy B. Hilton officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jerry Wilson. Interment will follow in Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Young's. A graveside flag presentation and masonic graveside rites will be performed. Active pallbearers are Henry Odom, W. D. Moore, Virgil McGough, Weldon Wilson, James E. Malone and A. O. Rhoades. Honorary pallbearers are all employes of Monsanto Chemical Co. (El Dorado Times - February 26, 1968)
