Husband of Mary Maggard. Son of Woodrow and Gerty (Butler) Maggard.
Donald Lee Maggard, 75 of Black Rock, passed away Monday March 3, 2014 at his residence.
Born May 8, 1938 in Ongo, Missouri; son of Woodrow and Gerty Butler Maggard. He was a farmer and of the Baptist belief.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two son’s, Timmy and Daniel Maggard; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Phyllis Williams; and three brothers, Johnny Jones, Rex and Ronnie Maggard.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mary of the home; three daughter’s, Donna Booth of Mountain Pine, AR, Diane (Boyce) Dulaney of Black Rock and Jeanette (Clarence) Smith of Sedgwick; four son’s, Tommy (Francis) Maggard of Truman, Randy Maggard of Black Rock, Andy (Carol) Maggard and Robert (Angie) Maggard all of Hot Springs; nineteen grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; three brother’s, Leonard Maggard of Truman, Russell Maggard of Missouri and Joe Holloway of Jonesboro; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10 A.M. in the Kelly Cemetery near Black Rock. Pallbearers will be Glenn Blackburn, Tony Dulaney, Bruce Smith, Terry Privett, Anthony and Michael Greer. Honorary Pallbearer will be Daniel Nunally.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6PM – 8PM in the Bryan Funeral Home in Hoxie.
