May 19, 1867 - May 17, 1937
R. L. Stinnett, 70 year old member of the Chidester School Board, and justice of the peace of Red Hill township, died at his home Monday morning at 9:30. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Larua Stinnett; three daughters, Mrs. J. E. Hindman of Gurdon, Mrs. W. G. Waddle of Prescott and Miss Meca Stinnett of Chidester; three sons, B. J. Stinnett of Litte Rock; Lewis of Gurdon and Jeter Stinnett of Chidester; two brothers, Polk of Chidester, and Logan Stinnett of Whelen Springs, and a sister, Mrs. J. D. Tuberville of Chidester. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Missouri Methodist church of which he was a member. (Camden News - May 18, 1937)
