W.A. "Dub" Farmer, 78, of Rogers died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, at the Earlene Howard Hospice House in Springdale. He was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Erbie to Argie A. and Uta Jones Farmer. He was preceded in death by twin sons, Leroy and Roy Lee Farmer, on May 31, 1954, and one brother, Kenneth Farmer, in May 1953.

He owned and operated Prairie Creek Supermarket. He was a route salesman for several companies. He served in the US. Army during World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rogers, where he was active in the Fellowship Bible class. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, woodworking and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Wright Farmer of the home, to whom he was married Aug. 20, 1950; two sons, Kenneth "Kenny" Farmer and wife Dorothy of Rogers and Ronald "Ronnie" Farmer and wife Renee of Springdale; one brother, Johnny Farmer of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Kale, Carrie and Jake Farmer.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Ben Rowell officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mark Farmer, Eric Farmer, Phillip Farmer, Kale Farmer, Mike Wright and Troy Adams.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the men of the Fellowship Bible Class at First Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, 72762.
