Marion Denton “M.D.” Neill, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 10, 2013 after a valiant five year battle with MDS, an incurable blood disorder. He was surrounded by Jo, his wife of 66 years, and daughters, Jennifer, Rebecca and Jacqueline.
M.D. was born on December 31, 1928 to J.D. and Laudys Neill in Springdale, Arkansas. He grew up in the Springfield area and married his high school sweetheart Ada Jo Wright. M.D. was a wonderful father and devoted husband.
M.D. was a big tease, fun loving, kind, honest and generous man. He was a man of integrity. M.D. was fondly referred to as Mad Dog, Many Deals, Money Do, Master Deal Maker, Master Hotel Broker, The Music Man and The Motel Man. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Real Estate was his passion and drove his professional career of 50 years. He specialized in the sale of motels, hotels and lodging properties. As a licensed Real Estate Broker in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arizona he sold over 400 lodging properties nationwide. Setting the bar so high very few will ever achieve his level of success. In addition to sales M. D. loved to take distressed motels, refurbish and restyle them into a top of the line property. In 2011 at the age of 82 he purchased the distressed Yellow Rose Inn and Suites which had been sitting vacant for a year. With his superb taste and expertise he turned The Yellow Rose Inn and Suites into an award winning property, leaving a legacy for his wife and daughters.
Please join us on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 1 to 3 pm in celebration of his life and achievements. The celebration will be held at The Yellow Rose Inn and Suites, 3140 Falls Parkway, Branson, MO. 65616.
