April 29, 1893 - May 16, 1968
William Virgle Edmonds, 75, of 103 Omega St., died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday in a local hospital following a brief illness. He was born April 29, 1893 in Caldwell County, Tex. He was a retired plumbing contractor and was a charter member of the Arkansas Master Plumbers Assn. Mr. Edmonds organized and served as president of the South Arkansas Master Plumbers Assn. for a number of years. A resident of Union County for over 30 years, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of El Dorado. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hazel Edmonds of El Dorado; three sons, Raymond V. Edmonds of San Carlos, Calif., Col. Melvin T. Edmonds USAF Ret. of Houston and William V Edmonds, Jr., also of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Myrle E. Huggins of Woodland, Calif. and Mrs. Sandra Downey of Pine Bluff; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Waggoner of Dallas, Mrs. Nettie Stutts of Corsicana, Tex., and Mrs. Nell Hix of New Boston, Tex.; 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Young's with Dr. Don Harbuck officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of Young's.
