Husband of Carolyn S. Blackshear (marr. 25 Apr 1969); son of Ewell Thomas Lawson and Della Mae Bradley Lawson
Donnie R. Lawson, 61, of Walnut Ridge, died July 28, 2010, at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center. He was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County and was of the Baptist belief. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Lawson; a son, Kiley Lawson and wife Melynda, Pocahontas; a sister, Betty McMillon, Walnut Ridge; two brothers, Jack Lawson, Walnut Ridge, and Gordon Lawson, Laporte, Ind.; and two grandchildren, Ashton Lawson and Courtney Jones.
Graveside service was Thursday at 11 a.m. at Oak Forest Cemetery in Black
Rock with Bob McMillon officiating. House-Gregg Funeral Home had charge
of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Sidney Phillips, Marlin Cummings, Danny Andrews, Larry Blackshear, Donald Brunson and Garren Ward. Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Collins and Jim McMillon.
