Delmar D. McKenzie, 85, of Conway, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2007.
He was born January 7, 1922, in the Republican Community (Greenbrier) to the late Will and Willie (Duncan) McKenzie.
He was a graduate of Greenbrier High School and earned his Master’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas. Mr. McKenzie was a retired Air Force Major and served as a bomber pilot during WWII. He taught at Conway High School for 14 years and was a member of the Rotary Club.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wesley McKenzie and Walter McKenzie, and three sisters, Myrtle McKenzie, Edna Palmer and Lorene Martin.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine McKenzie; and a daughter, Sheila Nash of Greenbrier.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Rev. Jesse Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Republican Cemetery in Greenbrier.
Visitation is Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
