Jonathan Thomas Barfield, age 23, of Sherwood, lost his battle with leukemia on August 22, 2010. He was born on January 29, 1987 in North Little Rock. Jonathan was a member of Church of Christ-Somers Ave., a "Life Loyal Sigma Chi", and a graduate of Arkansas State University at Jonesboro with a Civil Engineering degree.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Dora Ridling. Jonathan is survived by his parents, Michael and Brenda Kay Barfield; one brother, Jason Michael and his wife, Cindy N. Barfield and their daughter, Cameron; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Marie Barfield, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 25, 5-7 p.m. at Wood Bean Family Memorial Center Chapel. Service will be Thursday, August 26, 10 a.m. at Church of Christ-Somers Avenue, 4801 Somers Ave., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116. Interment will follow at Copperas Springs Cemetery, Guy, Ark.
