Billy "Buddy" Grady, 71, of Cave City died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, in a Batesville hospital. Husband of Mary Virginia Dobbs; son of William Grady and Eunice Gosnell Grady.

Born Feb. 22, 1927, at Monette, Missouri, he was the son of William and Eunice Gosnell Grady.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired maintenance man for ConAgra and a member of Maxville Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia "Jinnie" Dobbs Grady; a son, Steven Grady of Calamine; a daughter, Tammy Smith of Cave City; four sisters, Ruby George and Virginia Kunkel, both of Cave City, and Hester Hinson and Mary Stone, both of Kokomo, Ind.; two grandchildren, Candace Dailing and Wayne Smith, both of Cave City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Peggy Rogers.

The funeral began at 2 p.m. Sunday at Maxville Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Grayden Milligan officiating.

Burial was in Milligan Campground Cemetery under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers were Wayne Smith, David Ring, Buford Holland, Danny Heflin, Tommy Turner and Winford Holland.

Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Smith, Tyson Bowers, Chris Chance and Sonny Chance.
