Evening Shade - Sherman “Flintstone” Leo Mashburn, age 70 of Evening Shade, passed away Thursday, June 4, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born September 7, 1944 to Sherman (Shorty) and Thelma Roberts Mashburn in Clover Bend. On June 30, 1995, he married Geraldine Sander in Jasper, Texas. He was a truck driver, and a member of Liberty Full Gospel Church in Cave City.

Preceding him in death are his parents; an infant daughter, Bonnie Sue; a grandson, Asa Cook; one brother, Jerry Mashburn; an infant sister, Victoria, paternal grandparents Andy and Lillie Mashburn and maternal grandparents Wes and Jewel Roberts.

Survivors include his wife Geraldine Sander Mashburn of the home; three sons, Jack (Aimee) Mashburn of Jacksonville, Florida, Terry (Rie) Mashburn of Walnut Ridge, Joe (Kathy) Mashburn of Orange, Texas; three daughters, Natalie (Kim) Lovelady of Walnut Ridge, Patty (Adrian) Cook of Black Rock, and Amanda Boyd of Livingston, Texas; seven sisters, Carolyn (Dennis) Hill of Evening Shade, Arkansas, Kathy Alberta of Powhatan, Wanda (Bobby) McDaniel of Walnut Ridge, Debria (Norman) Bishop of Cave City, Jo Ann (Bill) Alexander of Walnut Ridge, Kaye (Phil) Redding of Van Buren, Rita Huddleston (Tommy) of Jonesboro; three brothers, James (Anita) Mashburn of Westside, Arkansas, John (Mary) Mashburn of Sulfur Rock, Gary Mashburn of Powhatan; one sister-in-law Susie Mashburn of Lufkin, Texas; nineteen grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 6, from 5-7 in Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Funeral services will be Sunday, June 7, at 2 pm in the Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Mashburn and Ed Gregory officiating. Burial will follow at Powhatan Cemetery in Powhatan.

Pallbearers: Kenny Mashburn, Jacob (Bubba) Mashburn, David (Lil Man) Mashburn, David Brannon, Jacob Brannon, and Cain Cherry.

Honorary Pallbearers: David Wendt, James Mashburn, John Mashburn, and Gary Mashburn.
