Johnny Robert Pruitt, 33, of Greenbrier, went to meet his heavenly father on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010.
He was born Feb. 27, 1977, in Conway, to Don and Peggy Pruitt. Johnny was of the Baptist faith and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier.
Johnny was a graduate of Greenbrier High School and University of Central Arkansas, where he was on the dean’s list.
He was an occupational therapist who had a deep love for his patients and coworkers.
Johnny had a great impact on every life he touched.
He was a loving husband and father.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and family trips, but his greatest love of all was spending time with his daughter, Arlie. Johnny’s friends and family were all the highlight of his life.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Donna Goodman and Arlis Pruitt.
Survivors include his wife, Melanie Pruitt of Greenbrier; daughter, Arlie Madison Pruitt of Greenbrier; parents, Don and Peggy Pruitt of Greenbrier; grandparents, Helen Pruitt of Greenbrier and Dean Goodman of Greenbrier; sisters, April Pruitt of Greenbrier and Jennifer Bradley and Aaron of Cabot; aunts, Patsy McMillen and Dickie of Conway, Missy Snowden and Jerry of Greenbrier, Judy Stell and Louis of Conway; uncle, Mark Goodman and Becky of Greenbrier; nieces, Kayla Barnett and Courtney McQueen; nephews, Hunter Bradley, Brandon Boyce, Adrian and Cory Steed.
Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 p.m. at Bishop-Griffin Funeral Home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Thorn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund has been established for his daughter, Arlie, at First Security Bank by Conway Therapy and Rehab Solutions.
Pallbearers will be Chad Garrett, D.J. Vinacco, Jeremy Daves, Jeff Farris, Ryan Reynolds, Luke Goodman and Wes Goodman. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Clark, Holly Hardy, Sandy Barnard, Shannon Freeman, Chris Throneberry, Angie Smithson and all staff at Conway Regional Therapy Services.
