Elmer Odell "Bockie" Deal, age 82, of Russellville, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at home.
He was born June 2, 1930, in Atkins, the son of Alis Clyde and Vollie Gail McVay Deal.
He was a member of Oakland Heights Assembly of God Church and a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Louise Deal of Russellville, daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley(Alfred) Thomas of Russellville, Cindy(Carroll) Rhoads of Mayflower, Larry Owens of Russellville, stepdaughter , Beverly (Billy) Miller of Jacksonville, brothers, Fay Deal and Dallas Deal of Russellville, J.L. (Marilyn) Deal of Atkins, Clyde Deal, Jr. of Tulare, CA., 2 sisters, Betty Duvall of Morrilton, Martha Kobb of Atkins, 4 grandchildren, Robert Vickers, Randy Vickers, Alicia Johnson and Kimberly Dobbs, 3 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be at 2:30 PM, Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Oakland Heights Assembly of God Church in Russellville. Burial will be at Atkins City Cemetery Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday at Lemley Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Robert Deal, Jimmy Deal, Scott Deal, Billy Deal, Stan Smith and Rickey Leach.
