Elisha D. Thompson, 81, of Jonesboro, died Friday afternoon in St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center. Born in Sweetwater, Tenn., he spent most of his life in the Jonesboro area. He was a veteran of World War One and was retired from the Jonesboro Rice Mill.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Ethel Eason of Brookland; and two brothers, George Thompson of Kennett, Mo., and Hugh Thompson of West Memphis.
Funeral services will be Monday afternoon at 3 in the Farmer’s Union Funeral Chapel, Rev. Jimmy Davis officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
