Lawrence Faulkner Jr., age 67, of Walnut Ridge, died March 13, 2001, at Regional Medical Center of NEA in Jonesboro.
He was a former resident of Powhatan and moved to the Walnut Ridge area about 40 years ago. He was a riverboat captain for Orgulf Transportation Co. and was an Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Sr. and Taddie Todd Faulkner; a brother, Clyde Faulkner; and an infant sister.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Burns Faulkner; a stepson, Randy Myers, Jonesboro; a brother, Joe C. Faulkner, Paragould; two sisters, Carolyn Bilbrey, Smithville, and Glenda Bierk, Perryville, Mo.; and a grandson, Tristan Myers.
Funeral was Thursday afternoon at 1 at House-Gregg Chapel with A.J. Stracener officiating. Burial was in Powhatan Cemetery under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Jerry Felts, Cletus Smith, Jack Rice, Phillip Faulkner, Odell Fort and Leroy Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were John Thomison, Brent Tipton, Todd Bierk and Rick Prater.
