Edward G. Hendricks,85, of Conway, passed from this life on Monday, October 14, 2013. Born in Center Ridge, Arkansas on December 19, 1927, he was a son to T.R. and Bertha (Starkey) Hendricks. Edward will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He obtained his teaching degree from Arkansas State Teacher College (UCA) and taught in Corning, Liberty and Vilonia Schools in Arkansas. He also taught in the California School System, where he also obtained his California Realtors License.
Those left to cherish his memory are: his wife of 60 years Veaundella Goodrich Hendricks; sons, David Hendricks (Anna) and Fred Hendricks (Pat) both of Conway, AR; daughter, Betsy Hendricks (Gary) of Quitman, AR; grandchildren: Sara Batcheller, Bradley Hendricks, Jason Barnett, Kristi Epps, Will Davis, Tiffany Robinson and Jacob Hendricks, Amanda Fowler and Merewyn Fowler and eleven great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Sue Pate and brothers, Opie, Victor and Wayne Hendricks, numerous extended family and friends. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Louise Farrar and a brother Dan Hendricks.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, on Friday, October 18, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with Charles Bane officiating. Entombment will follow at Crestlawn Mausoleum with Bradley Hendricks, Jacob Hendricks, Jason Barnett, Bruce Hendricks, Brandon Epps and Will Davis serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Thursday, October 17, at the funeral home.
