Alvin Dewitt Glover, 69 of Conway passed away Wednesday January 22, 2014.
He was born January 15, 1945 in Conway to the late Weldon Dewitt Glover and Juanita Markry Winfrey. He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the Army Reserve, a member of the Conway First Presbyterian Church and retired from Central Moloney, Inc. of Pine Bluff where he was the Vice-President of the Finance Department.
Al was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a phenomenal man who loved life, his family and his friends. Everyone he met he treated with kindness. Anyone who truly knew him loved and respected him. Al was an inspiration to his family and led by example. He was a warm and loving husband, father and friend. He was loved and he will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Lyon Glover, son, Timothy Alan Martin Glover of White Hall, daughter, Elizabeth Shannon Keele (Derek) of Conway, two step-sons, Jim Rubenstein (Tracy) of St. Louis, Missouri and David Rubenstein (Katie) of Columbia, Missouri, sister, Carolyn Moorcroft of Wallingford, CT, two brothers, Darrell and Booker Glover both of Hattieville, Arkansas, nephew, Joe Pruett (Adele) of Conway and eight grandchildren, Dylan Glover, Kyle Glover, Ryder Blevins, Haley Blevins, Megan Rubenstein, Abner Brown, Aven Rubenstein and Asher Rubenstein, one great-grandson, Bently Glover and a host of loving friends.
Memorial services are 2:00pm Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Conway with Joe Pruett officiating.
