James Fulton Hare, aged 69, died at his home at Norfork Aug 16. He was a native of Illinois and had lived at Norfork six years. he was a Spanish-American war veteran. Surviving are his wife and four children, James J. Hare, stationed in Germany with the army, George M. Hare and Misses Eula and Eva Hare, all of Norfork.

[NOTE: The obituary listed the children as James J., George M., Eula, and Eva; however, a descendant of James Fulton Hare indicated that two of the children should have been listed as James G. and Cora (Cora Madding, parents were killed in a house fire (James Hare's sister) so James adopted Cora.))
