Ron Wilkes, 59, of Fort Smith went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 6, 2008 in Fort Smith. Ron was the owner of Abrasive Fabricators, a member of Eastside Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife, Jan; his only daughter and the joy of his life, Kim of Fort Worth, TX, his mother, Mary Talamantes of Fort Smith; brother, Mike Talamantes; sister, Lottie Nys of Owasso, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Harold "Buddy" Wilkes and by Cecil Talamantes. Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2008 at Eastside Baptist Church with interment at Barling City Cemetery, Barling, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Don Key, Ron Davis, Jim Hail, Ken Colley, Dennis Wood and Larry Brisco.
