Mr. Lewis 'L.C.' Tiner, age 72, of Jonesboro, formerly of Forrest City, died Tuesday at the St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Tiner was born June 8, 1940, in Marianna, and was the son of Herman Ray Tiner and Ollie Bolden Brazil Tiner. He graduated from Palestine High School in 1959, retired from farming in 1970, and was a member of the Southwest Church of Christ in Jonesboro.
Mr. Tiner married Sue Gore in 1960, and she survives him along with two sons; Greg Tiner, and wife, Tammy, and Mike Tiner, and wife, Esteva, both of Beebe, one daughter, Pam Tiner of Jonesboro, one brother, Joe Tiner, and wife Charlotte, of Marion, four grandchildren; Krystal, Bubba, Evan, and Fallon, and three great-grandchildren; Katie, Hailey, and Gauge. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Herman Ray Tiner and Charles Tiner, and three sisters; Billie Godfrey, Kathleen Duckworth, and Betty Keuger.
Services for Mr. Tiner will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 11:00 A.M., Friday with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery.
