Husband of Ann Hughes Davis
Mr. Bobby 'Rock' Davis, a much loved husband, father, and grandfather, age 75, of Forrest City, died Saturday at the St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro.
Mr. Davis was born January 20, 1936, in the Newcastle Community, and was the son of Gordon Davis and Myrtle Roberts Davis. He lived in Forrest City most of his life, served in the Armed Forces from 1954 till 1957, and worked as an engineer.
Mr. Davis is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Ann Hughes Davis, two sons; Scott Davis, and wife, Alicia, of Maumelle, Arkansas, and David Davis, and wife, Jackie, of Yellville, Arkansas, one daughter, Tracy Turner, and husband, Jeff, of Forrest City, one brother, Wallace Davis, and wife, Doris, of Adrian, Michigan, one sister, Gail Jones, and husband, Stanley, of Forrest City, ten grandchildren; Candace Davis, Tandi Davis Cox, Whitney Turner Gross, Blake Davis, Sara Davis, Leslie Turner Young, Joshua Davis, Katie Davis, Gabby Turner, and Dillon Turner, and two great-grandchildren; K. J. Moore and Brooklyn Olivia Gross. He had one sister, Florence 'Sissy' Baty, and two brothers; Gordon Davis Jr. and Vernon Davis, who all preceded him in death.
Services for Mr. Davis will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 P.M., Thursday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery.
