Our beloved Monte was born in Searcy to Elvin and Nell Duncan. He passed away peacefully with his beloved wife Trena, best friend Scott Eckberg and Cindy Borong and family members by his side. Monte had insatiable thirst for the finest standards for life i.e. appearance, manners and respect. He touched everybody's life that came in contact with him. He was a kind and generous son, husband and father to Fancie and best friend to all who knew him.
Monte attended Harding University and later graduated from the University of Oregon Eugene. He was in the construction business fro 25 years and traveled the United States. The last 10 years he spent caring for his insurance clients and family. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Trena; father and mother, Elvin and Nell Duncan; brothers, Keith and Ricky; sisters, Karen and Tanya; 4 Stanton brothers, David, Lloyd, Marvin Jr. and James Edward and sister, April Jean; brother-in-law, Brian; sisters – in-law, Annette, Sherry and Kelly and numerous nieces and nephews.
Monte had a passion for the Oregon Ducks and also the Los Angeles Angels, and we all know he is up with the angels.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Central Baptist Church in Bald Knob. His ashes will be placed in the Shady Grove Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia
