Lewis D. Jones, age 33, of Forrest City, died Sunday, June 4, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City. Mr. Jones was born Jan. 22, 1967, to L.D. Phillips and Georgia Jones. He was a 1985 graduate of Forrest City High School, he attended Westark Community College in Fort Smith and attended Arkansas and Central Missouri State in Kansas City, MO. He was employed by the Forrest City Police Department. He is survived by his mother and father, a daughter, Essica Shiketa Walker, of Jacksonville; a son, Christopher Jamal Kirkwood, of Chicago, Ill.; six sisters, Georgia Jones, Shirley Haggins, Sandra Willins, Izola Jones, Benita Hunt, Carmalita Owens, all of Forrest City, Marilyn Harris, of Champaign, Ill.; three brothers, Andrew Jones, Calvin Chism, both of Forrest City, and Stanley Jones, of Memphis, Tenn. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 10, 2000, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery under the direction of Marianna Funeral Home.
