Larry Joe Dye, 63, of Judsonia, died Friday, December 27, 2013 at UAMS in Little Rock. He was born May 25, 1950 in Heber Springs to the late Lyndell and Thelma (Hall) Dye. Larry worked as a small engine repair man and attended the Valley Baptist Church in Searcy.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Stevens) Dye; a son, Steven Dye of Judsonia; a daughter, Melody Armstrong and her husband Mike of Monterey, California; 3 grandchildren, Ashley, Mark and Matthew Armstrong all of Monterey, California; 2 sisters, Troy Hensley of Searcy and Linda Selvidge of Hot Springs; 2 brothers, Jack and Donald Dye of Judsonia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Gerald and David Dye; and a niece, Destiny.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Services will be conducted Monday, December 30, 2013, 2:00 p.m., at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Searcy. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements by Powell Funeral Home of Searcy.
