James "Ricky" Waller, 53 of Batesville passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at White River Medical Center. He was born October 31, 1960 to the late Elmer Amos Waller and Agnes Evelyn Casebout Waller.

He loved sports. He was a fan of the Pittsburg Steelers. He also had a couple favorite TV shows, Seinfeld and the Andy Griffith Show. Ricky was the backbone of the family. He was a provider, hardworking, very generous, very kind, very protective, strong, and smart. He had a giving heart. He was a person who never wanted to disappoint anybody. He had a tremendous sense of humor. He loved all kids, his nieces, nephews, neighbor kids but he especially loved his grandkids. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Waller; two daughters, Kristie Nephew (Dennis) of Batesville, and Valerie Green (Randel) of Conway; five brothers, Bobby Waller (Shirley) of Clinton, Ralph Waller of Newport, Stan Waller (Jackie) of Cabot, Micky Waller (Robbin) of Ward, and Nicky Waller of Newport.; five sisters, Patricia Travis (Jim) of Greenbrier, Marie McClusky (Gerald) of Newport, Phyllis Seaton (Dan) of Jacksonville, Mary Thomas (Mike Clayton) of Heber Springs, and Anne Davidson (Tim) of Floral.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Amos Waller; two step-sisters, Ruby and Jessie Sue.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Powhatan Cemetery in Powhatan, Arkansas under the direction of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Jude's Hospital and Arkansas Children's Hospital.
