Joshua Eaton Sweeney, 39, of El Dorado passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at his residence.
Born April 4, 1984, in Pine Bluff, AR, he was the son of Dale and Teresa Eaton Sweeney (deceased). Josh was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted NASCAR fan.
Survivors include his parents, Dale and Cherrie Sweeney, a sister, Amber Michelle Nelson (Arik), stepbrothers, Nico Sandoval (Deanna) and Derrick Sandoval (Sydney) and their son, Saxxton Sandoval all of El Dorado.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Young's. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Young's Chapel with Rev. Carly Davis and Rev. Myron Ford officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope, AR under the direction of Young's Funeral Directions.
Special thanks are extended to the staff of Hope House for the care given to Josh.
